NEBULA TOUCHSCREEN COMPUTER FIRMWARE UPDATE

The Nebula Plus computer tablet is the next generation of tablets for industry use. It comes with a curved edge touch glass. It has the most versatile application for rigorous and continuous public use of self service, corporate, healthcare, in-store interaction, and hospitality environments. The RFID, barcode reader, light strips, and camera modules can be attached to Nebula Plus to enhance your user experience.

The voice quality has been improved to avoid surround noise when using next-generation voice control activations.

Nebula Plus combines commercial-grade reliability with the powerful Hexacore processor, PCAP 10-touch display, Android 12.0, StarOS 10.2.1, and optional Power-over-Ethernet (POE) – all in a compact responsive all-in-one (AiO) computer.

StarOS, our license-free kiosk lockdown app, is inclusive with Nebula Plus. Star Control, a secure platform, could be added as an option to remotely access the tablets for content and device management.

FIRMWARE UPDATE THROUGH PC

To update the firmware version on the display, follow these steps:

Install DriverAssitant_v5.1.1 to your computer.
Copy RKDevTool_Release_v2.93 and Update(XXXXXX.img) to your computer. Double-click RKDevTool.exe to launch the app.
Select the Upgrade Firmware tab.

4. Select Firmware, and then select the update file(XXXXXX.img) to install from your computer.

5. Connect your computer to the display using a Type A to Type C cable.

6. From the display, press and hold the Vol + button, and then connect to power through the DC IN port.

7. The app prompts that a loader device is found. If not, repeat steps 4-5 again.

8. Select the Upgrade tab.

The update will automatically run, and then the display will restart once update is completed.

To update the firmware version on the display, follow these steps:

Copy PhoenixSuit V1.19 and Update(XXXXXX.img) to your computer.
Right-click Phoenixinstall and choose to run as an administrator.
Install the device driver in your computer.
Double-click PhoenixSuit.exe to launch the app.
Select the Firmware tab.

6. Select Wipe part. Select Image, and then select the update file (xxxxx.img) to install from your computer.

7. From the display, connect your computer to the display using Type A to Type C cable.

8. Press and hold the Audio Jack inside Recover button using a small pin.

9. Connect to power through DC In.

10. When the device is connected, the update will automatically run, and then the display will restart once update is completed.

To update the firmware version on the display, follow these steps:

Install the qud.win.1.1_installer_10065.1 USB driver to your computer.
Install qpst.win.2.7_installer_00496.1 and copy Update(XXXXXX.img) to your computer.
Double-click QFIL.exe to launch the app.
From the display, connect your computer to the display using Type A to Type C cable.
Press and hold the Audio Jack inside Recover button using a small pin.
Connect to power through DC In.

7. Select Select Port → Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3), and then select OK.

8. Select Flat Build → Browse, and then select the update file (prog_firehose_ddr.elf) to install from your computer.

9. Select Load XML → rawprogram0_split → patch0.

10. From Storage Type, select ufs.

11. Select Download. The upgrade will automatically run.

12. Once the Status displays Finish Download, manually restart the device to complete the update.

FIRMWARE UPDATE THROUGH USB

To update the firmware version on the display, follow these steps:

Copy the update.zip file to a USB drive (FAT32 format). Don’t extract the file, just copy the file.
Turn on device, and then connect the USB drive to the display.

3. Once the Firmware Updating pop-up window displays, select Install.

The update will automatically run, and then the display will restart once update is completed.

To update the firmware version on the display, follow these steps:

Copy Update (XXXXXX.zip) to your micro SD card.
Insert the micro SD card into the device and turn on the display.
From the display, go to System → Local Update.

4. Select OTA System Update.

5. Select the Update (XXXXXX.zip) file. The update will automatically run.

6. Once update is completed, select Yes to reboot the display.

PART# 225

To update the firmware version on the display, follow these steps:

Copy the update.zip and update.json files to a USB drive (FAT32 format). Don’t extract the file, just copy the file.
Turn on device, and then connect the USB drive to the device.
Copy the update.zip and update.json files to the devices

4. Select All applications → Systemupdater Sample.

5. Select Apply, and then select OK. The update will automatically run.

6. Wait for system update.

The system indicates that the update is a success.

7. Manually restart the device to complete update.
